December 13, 2004 - Server Troubles

We've had a few problems with our servers lately and have switched over to a new host. This new hosting service will allow us to do some new things to improve the Eon community which we will roll out over the coming months.

In the mean-time, stay informed by becoming a regular visitor of our forum and IRC community.

October 13, 2004 - PC Gamer Coverage
Eon is currently being featured in a 2 part article over at the PC Gamer website. Click here to read part one - click here to read part two. Many many thanks to PC Gamer for taking interest in us. We're humbled and grateful for the support.

Additionally, for those of you who don't frequent the forums or our IRC channel, we released a pre alpha test of Eon to the public last month. It was intended as a limited release for bug-hunting and hardware compatibility available only on the forum. Its popularity has since escaped us and it has been spread around and hosted on various file mirrors across the net. You can check it out here, but remember that it is more of an art demo than anything and its playability does not represent anything like what we're after.

You will also notice a few updates to our website. We've added a team page that lists the names of present and past contributors, a 'join eon' page discussing ways that you can help contribute to Eon's development, and a press coverage page discussing the some of the attention we've received (which at the moment includes PC Gamer alone, but here's to hoping for more!). These new features can be accessed from the Eon main page (just click the Eon logo above the menu to get back). We've also updated our media gallery to include screenshots from our latest build. Enjoy!

June 26, 2004 - The Eon Community Opens
Corona Leonis Entertainment is happy to announce the opening of the Eon community home. We're opening a public forum and an IRC channel for Eon fans to interact with us and with each-other, and receive exclusive updates and sneak-peeks. Beyond Unreal has extended its generosity by kindly hosting our forum and our IRC server is located on Enterthegame's servers.

You can find our forum here, and you can join our IRC server at irc.enterthegame.com in #eon.

June 23, 2004 - Corona Leonis is accepting applications for Level Designers
Corona Leonis Entertainment is looking for one or more Level Design artists who can build solid, visually pleasing environments that are tactically robust and fun to play. Accepted applicants will be expected to deliver high quality, technically sound levels according to specification in a limited time frame. They will have at their disposal some of the finest environmental art the industry has to offer and the opportunity to work along side a team of highly talented professionals, all of whom are friendly and passionate about their work.

This position absolutely requires experience designing and completing levels, though that experience need not be commercial. Applicants must be comfortable designing levels both from scratch and from documentation or diagrams. The applicant must be capable of using Epic’s Unreal Technology and learn to use our own custom made plugins and applications.

June 12, 2004 - File Problems
Due to the popularity of our files our file-hosting service has crashed. The kind and generous folk over at www.beyondunreal.com are going to host our gallery modules from now on to ensure downtime doesn't occur again. Many thanks to beyondunreal!

 June 6, 2004 - Eon Unveiled
Today we're releasing the latest version of Eon in the form of a group of gallery modules. These modules will display the art of Eon in such a way that the player can fully scrutinize every detail that we've put into these characters and the environments we're constructing for the forthcoming playable releases. Go to the downloads section of our website to get these gallery modules. We hope you like them.

Changes and updates will be coming rapidly to Eon and this website, so stay tuned.
